# Gameplay Pillars

### Main Gameplay Pillars

Olympus is built around four major pillars.

### Building

Olympus supports long-term building projects.

Players are encouraged to create:

* Towns
* Roads
* Ports
* Railways
* Farms
* Markets
* Fortresses
* Temples
* Machines
* Public infrastructure
* Hidden bases
* Large collaborative builds

The server is not only about individual bases. Shared infrastructure is part of the intended experience.

### Exploration

Olympus expands the world with new terrain, structures, biomes, and dimensions.

Exploration is meant to feel valuable. Players should be able to find new places, rare resources, strange structures, and dangerous areas worth remembering.

The world is not designed to be fully understood immediately.

### Engineering

Create is the central engineering system of Olympus.

Players can build machines, factories, farms, contraptions, trains, moving systems, and mechanical infrastructure.

Create Aeronautics and related mods expand this further with vehicles, airships, and mobile mechanical projects.

Engineering is not required, but it is one of the major paths available to players.

### Community

Olympus is a multiplayer world.

Players can trade, form groups, build near each other, create shops, connect roads, establish settlements, and work on shared infrastructure.

The server is whitelisted because the world is intended to last.

### Claims and Protection

Olympus uses claims to protect player spaces.

Claims are meant to prevent griefing, not to remove all risk from survival.

Players are still responsible for where they build, what they carry, who they trust, and how they interact with the world.

Griefing is not allowed.

Theft, abuse, and destructive behavior against other players may result in removal from the server.

### Shops and Economy

Olympus does not have a server-run economy in the traditional sense.

There are no admin shops defining the value of everything.

Player shops allow players to trade with each other directly. The economy is expected to emerge from what players gather, build, automate, transport, and sell.

### Custom Olympus Content

Olympus includes custom server content through Olympus-specific mods.

This content may include custom items, mechanics, blocks, mobs, and progression systems designed specifically for the server.

Current and future custom content is intended to support the Olympus world without turning the server into a scripted quest pack.
