# Economy

Learn how Denarii, selling, payments, and player trading work in Theatria.

## Our Currency

The currency of Theatria is **Denarii**. To check your balance, use any of the following commands:

* `/bal`
* `/balance`
* Press and hold the **Tab** key.

## Commands Overview

* `/sell hand` - Sells the item you are holding for its server-defined value.
* `/worth` - Displays the value of the item you are holding.
* `/balance` or `/bal` - Shows your current Denarii balance.
* `/pay <player>` - Transfers Denarii from your balance to another player.
* `/shop` - Opens the [Denarii Feature Shop](/theatria/gameplay-features/feature-shop.md), where gameplay features can be unlocked with Denarii.

### Important Notes

* Not all items have a value for `/sell hand`. Some items are exclusively traded in [Player Markets](/theatria/gameplay-features/economy/player-markets.md), allowing players to define their own prices and values.
